First Time Guest? Welcome!

Trying to find a community of faith that is a fit can be daunting. If you are considering joining us for worship as a first time guest, our goal is that you are able to encounter God and be met with community.

We also know that as you prepare to come to a worship service, you probably have a lot of questions. The best way to see what our services like is to join us online first! This is a great way to see our worship styles.

Ready to come in person? Here are some FAQs that we want to make sure we answer. Have other questions? Contact us here!

Where do I go?

For the Classic Service at 9:30am, you would enter the building through Enterance A, on the Sanctuary side of the building.

For the Current Service at 11:00am, you would enter in through Enterance B, on the Connection Court side of the building.

Both areas will have greeters to show you where to go!

What do I wear?

One of the biggest fears of people coming in as a guest for the first time at a church is being under dressed or over dressed for worship. So let's explain our services and how people dress.

The Classic - You may see some suits and dresses, but there will also be jeans, tshirts, and hats. Regardless of what you wear you will feel welcomed here.

The Current - Not many suits at the Current, but you will see tshirts, jeans, leggings, and everything in between in this more causal service.

The Couch - Its online, so whatever you want is fine!

The Drive In - "Come as you are, worship in your car" is the mantra. Kids come in their pajamas, we have people doing their makeup in their vehicle, The Drive In is a no judgement zone!

Where do my children go?

We love kids at MUMC, and have specific programming for children at the Classic and Current Services.

In the Classic, our kids stay in service until the Message for All ages, and then are led downstairs where they will participate in Adventures in Faith, our Sunday School program.

In the Current, kids stay in the service and worship with their family until the sermon time, when they are led downstairs to participate in Adventures in Faith.

Where do my Middle/High School kids go?

We believe our Middle School and High School students are ready to participate fully in worship, either in the seats with their family or serving in a variety of ways! At the Current Service there is a self-proclaimed "Youth Section" up front where our youth worhsip with abandon.

Am I expected to put money in the offering box?

We believe that Christians are called to give to the ministry and mission of the church. That being said, we do not expect guest to feel obligated to give. If we have a special offering happening that day that you'd like to support, please feel free! But Guest are not expected to give.
